Blights & Desires Update!

For those of you following along at home, I am pleased to announce that the final manuscript for Blights & Desires is finished. Coming in at a perfectly reasonable 101,929 words, it’s the longest single piece of fiction I’ve ever written.

I will go into process in another post, but for now I am pleased to have gotten through this “second” draft and that the story is ready to be shared with my fellow professionals.

I love the story. I love my villain protagonist. I love my Cobalt City cohorts who have been there encouraging me from the day this pitch was accepted.

Tomorrow, the manuscript makes its way to the editor’s inbox. And from there we go forth as a team to polish and perfect what’s currently on the page in anticipation of releasing it into the world.

I am delighted and I am exhausted.
